The TLI37122 Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure qualification is a general
qualification for a person engaged in the rail infrastructure environment who
performs tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts. It may involve application of some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services, or contingency measures. It may also include responsibility for coordinating the work of others.


Core Units (4):

- TLIE2007 – Use communications systems
- TLIE2029 – Conduct workplace information briefings
- TLIF3003 – Implement and monitor work health and safety procedures
- TLIJ0003 – Apply quality systems
Group D Units (3):
- RIICCM201E – Carry out measurements and calculations
- TLIB3099 – Examine track infrastructure
- TLIB3100 – Visually inspect track infrastructure
General Elective Units (Choose 2 from Group J):
- TLIB2097 – Install and Maintain guard rails (Credit Transfer from Cert II)
- TLIB2092 – Operate minor mechanical equipment (Credit Transfer from Cert II)
Imported Units (2):
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
- CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction Industry (GCIT card)
Work placement:
This course requires practical experience on a rail worksite. OSCA provides students with a logbook to complete. Students are required to organise work placement with access to a live site for the successful completion of the study.
Pre-requisites:
Students must be:
- 15 years or over and no longer at school and Living in QLD.
Students must have:
- Ability to undertake an LLN Quiz
- 100 points of ID
- Required PPE or the ability to obtain as listed in the course outline.
